2001 Toyota Hiace

For sale is a 2001 Toyota Hiace. This is the newest year of import Toyota available for 2026 (25 years old) and this one is a gem. This van is an awd, turbo diesel saloon on wheels. With 179xxx kms, (111,500k miles) its ready to last for years to come. The interior is in pretty pristine shape aside from the speakers that were fit into the front doors. The sound system however, does sound great so I won’t complain about having door speakers too much. The front of the van is a cozy little cockpit with velour swede seats and plenty of space for both driver and passenger. The rear is configurable in quite a few ways. The table shown in the photos can be in between two rows facing one another or all of the seats can face forward as the middle row swivels. The table can stay inside for the rear row only if the middle is forward facing, or the table can be removed and the rear row can have unlimited leg room. The rear row can also slide forward and create more cargo room. All seats have seat belts in every position. Lastly, the rear seats can all be folded into a relatively flat bed. I won’t say these beds are the most comfortable beds I’ve slept on but I personally have slept on one. From a safety standpoint, unlike a lot of the Hiace we currently see in the states, this one is equipped with airbags for the front two passengers. This van is also equipped with not only rear heat but also rear AC. All heat and AC work throughout the van. The rear passengers have a sliding moonroof that takes up most of the roof along with a tilting sunroof in the rear depending on seating position. The driver and front passenger also have a manual tilting sunroof. Mechanically this van is very sound with no current issues. Since import, we have run through the van and replaced the alternator with a reman oem alternator along with some fresh falken wildpeak at trail tires. The body of this van is in great shape with 0 rust and the paint is in good shape as well with no fade or clear coat failure. This van is ready to be someones family cruiser, weekend mountain car, adventure mobile, or daily driver today. The last timing belt in this car was done about 50k miles ago and I have pulled the timing cover to ensure that everything is in good shape and it is. I truly don’t think there is much this van will leave to be desired for its new owner. This van is being offered at $15,900 OBO. Listed by The Dirt Tourist DLR #190. Feel free to ask away with any questions, request more photos or videos, or schedule a test drive. Thanks for taking a look!
