1983 Toyota Land Cruiser
For sale is a 1983 Toyota Land Cruiser. This is a sweet classic Land Cruiser that is a bit of a survivor spec. Overall the car is in very good shape for its age. It catches all the eyes and is a joy to drive. This car was originally sold in Utah and then lived in southern Idaho before moving up here less than 2 years ago. The body is pretty straight and largely rust free with a few zones in the rear that could use attention. The rear driver wheel arch does have a bit of rust on the back half of the arch but it doesn't go any further than what you can see. Both of the actual rear inner fenders/wheel wells are very clean with no rust. Obviously the tailgate has rust as well as photographed. The car is missing the chrome trim that goes around the rain gutter but there is 0 rot or rust evidence in the gutters. The only other body piece it is missing is the passenger side "snake blinder" the little chrome piece that goes along the bottom of the body. Mechanically, this car has been well maintained and is ready for adventures with a new owner. I was told the engine had been rebuilt but I do not have any paperwork for it. A clutch was put in under the last owners ownership along with the swivel hubs (birfields) being rebuilt with new koyo bearings all around. The brake pads are all fresh as well. The 2f engine is running on a webber carb with a man-a-fre adapter. I do have the factory air cleaner that could be adapted to this carb to make the engine bay look a bit more factory if desired. I also have the factory vacuum pump if you wanted to go back to a factory carb. The engine does have some kind of aftermarket header but I'm not sure on the brand. The intake manifold was also replaced under previous ownership. The car is lifted on old man emu suspension with a 2/2.5" lift as well as man-a-fre anti inversion grease-able shackles. Its currently sitting on a set of 40 series style steel wheels from city racer with a set of oem 40 series hub caps. The wheels are wrapped in a set of fresh BF Goodrich KO2 tires in a 255/85r16 (33x10). The interior of this car is in great shape aside from the couple of splits in the headliner. The original center console was replaced with a locking Tuffy Box and there is a hidden bluetooth radio inside of the front portion. The factory radio is still in the dash to retain the oem look. I do still have the original center console if desired as well. The factory speakers were replaced with a set of 5.25 round speakers using cruiser cult's adapters so there are no additional holes drilled. Everything works as it should. The webber carb is running on an electric choke instead of the factory cable choke, the truck starts very easily. Lastly I do also have a first generation ARB bumper for a 60 series I'd be happy to include on the right deal. Listed by The Dirt Tourist DLR #190. Asking $18,000 OBO. Will entertain trades for other cruisers or cool Toyota 4wds, but I'd rather not take on any massive projects, I already have too many of those. Feel free to ask away with more questions, request more photos or video, or set up a time for a test drive. I'm happy to work with out of state buyers and either arrange shipping at buyers cost or meet a serious buyer at the Spokane airport. Thanks for taking a look!
