Club Ride is a brand we've worked with for quite a while and have consistently been impressed time and time again by just how nice the gear is. This fall they've come out with new pieces for everything from enduro riding to long distance touring and all the in-betweens. In previous lines, the product quality has been top notch, everything stands up to the test of time. In this new line up, Club Ride kept that same level of quality while really stepping up their fit. From the beginning, the idea of Club Ride has been to be able to shred and finish off with a beer/meal with friends on the town without ever having to change; making technically performing and good looking clothes.

The first thing I noticed while wearing the new Highland Pant is just how lightweight they are. The fabric is super breathable along with being stretchy which makes for a good combo to ride in on these cool fall mornings. I find myself starting my day with a ride in these and continuing to wear them while wrenching on bikes all day due to their comfort and durability.

If we've met in person you likely noticed that my (Grafton) hands are beat up and always dirty. My clothes are not much different. Most everything I own has some sort of grease or oil stain on it. I've gotten everything form grease, anti-seize, loctite, coolant, oil, stans, and suspension fluid on these pants and they have yet to hold a stain. Obviously thats my anecdotal experience but hey, we're calling this portion of our site unprofessional opinions for a reason. Oh, one more fancy little thing... if you're more high class than I am and have an iPhone 7plus or 8plus, they still fit in the side zipper pocket for optimum shred security.

This fall, Club Ride came out with the second iteration of the Shaka Flannel. Flannels are my go to in the fall. Whether I'm wearing them to commute, work, or mountain bike, they're a staple. That said, you can't just wear any ole flannel mountain biking without quickly regretting your decision. Club Ride has done a great job of making these both warm and extremely breathable. When you live as far north as I do (Spokane), the temps really start to drop for fall morning riding. I've ridden several times in freezing temperatures already this year. With a simple base layer below, the Shaka Flannel does a great job of keeping me cool enough on the way up while helping me stay warm on the way down.

The Shaka Flannel has breathable mesh areas integrated into the shirt for maximum shred comfort. Underneath the armpits theres a large rectangle of breathable mesh along with that same material along each cuff and the collar to keep the sweat from making your flannel crusty. The shirt also comes equipped with two pockets if you're more of a phone in the shirt pocket kind of person; a pocket on the back in the lower right and one left chest pocket.

As with every piece of Club Ride gear, they're meant to be worn wherever you go. From the mountains, to a middle class fancy dinner, you'll feel right at home. As if thats not enough, both of these pieces have accents of their Ridelight reflective strips to help you be seen riding at night. All in all we'd highly recommend these pieces and many others from Club Ride. If you have yet to own any Club Ride gear, this would be a great place to start.
