1992 Toyota Hiace Cruising Cabin

Ever wanted a cool old camper van? I mean, that seems like a silly question, who hasn’t wanted an old camper van at one point or another. This is Toyota's answer to the Westfalia VWs and it’s got a ton of good things going for it. Not only is this van powered by the same legendary 3L diesel that powers the Hilux, but it’s also 4wd and ready for adventure. The Cruising Cabin was an in house Toyota conversion sold exclusively in the Japanese market. There’s not a ton of these vans left and many of them command insane prices. This van has already lived an adventurous life and is ready for many more adventures with its new owner! The interior can be set up as a double decker bunk bed style set up, a living room on the bottom with modular head space or bed on top, or a people hauler with 8 seat belts total. Currently the odometer sits at just under 195kms which maths out to be about 120k miles. I’ve personally already taken it on an 8hr road trip and it went swimmingly. It is very mechanically sound. It's sitting on a set of BFG factory size tires. 4wd works flawlessly and the hubs engage easily. The kitchenette does still have the original sink with 12v pump which works and the original dometic fridge that can run on propane or 12v I believe. A previous owner sadly removed the propane tank and original stove but you could easily retrofit it to suit your set up. There is an auxiliary battery in the van and it does still have shore power hookups with a grounding stake. You won’t be winning any land speed records in this snail, but it’s definitely got all the vibes. This van is offered at $12,300 by The Dirt Tourist DLR #190. All in all this is an extremely cool van and its ready to be your little ski chalet or fulfill whatever other camping dreams you may have. Feel free to ask for more photos or video, come take a look, or schedule a test drive. I'm happy to entertain trade in deals for other Toyotas. Thanks for taking a look!
