1999 Toyota 4Runner
The 3rd gen 4Runner has definitely become an icon among late 90s/early 2000s 4WDs in the last few years. They’ve gained lots of attention and begun to climb back up in value; and rightfully so! Personally, this was actually the first 3rd gen I had ever owned. I was thoroughly impressed with the ride comfort they provide (coming from daily-ing a first gen Tacoma) with the coil rear end and the mini little 4 link system they use. Of course, while I still think that the 1st gen 4Runner was maybe the coolest, the 3rd gen still holds some of the nostalgia and heritage lines that get lost in the later models IMO.
This particular example of a 3rd gen was a 1999 with a 3.4 V6 paired to an automatic transmission with 209k miles. It finished in (my personal fav) Imperial Jade Mica with a tan cloth interior. This truck had two previous owners that came from the same family and had been well maintained throughout its life. The cloth interior was still in great shape and cleaned up quite nicely. While at The Dirt Tourist, the truck got a fresh set of valve cover gaskets, a timing belt and water pump replacement, and new ball joints all around. Here are some photos.
This truck sold within 48 hours but is sticking around here in northern Idaho! I hope to see it cruising around for years to come.
