1994 Toyota Land Cruiser

Every Land Cruiser was an instant classic. The triple locked 80 series cruisers however, may have been an instant legend. The 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser is dubbed by many as the holy grail of 80 series land cruisers for many reasons. With a 1fz 4.5L straight 6 engine paired to what cruiser heads call the “Bus Trans” and an option for factory lockers in front, center, and rear differentials, Toyota really wasn’t messing around. This truck was just that, a triple locked 1994 Land Cruiser. For me, I prefer the 93 and 94 model year 80 series for many reasons past the mechanical ones. The swoopy dash with no airbags, the “TOYOTA” grille vs the 95+ grilles that have the toyota logo, the list goes on and it only gets more nerdy from here.

This land cruiser started its life as a Toyota dealership owners personal rig down in Florida. It bounced across the states and ended up in California where the last owner picked it up and brought it up to the northwest. I ended up selling this truck for him after doing a front axle job. With only 211k on the odometer, this cruiser was boasting pretty “low” miles for what most of these have today. All three lockers engaged with ease and the truck was previously equipped with a center diff lock button which US cruisers never received from the factory. This allows the truck to have a 50/50 4wd split in both high range and low range. Without the button, the diff is only locked when in low range.

Anyway, here are some photos of the truck! I hope to find more and more cruisers to sell, if you’ve had your eyes on one for a while, give me a holler! In the next month, there should be a few more showing up with some foreign diesel flavor… stay tuned.
